About Us
Our Mission:
We Strive for Perfection Excellence will Merely be Tolerated!
Yesterday’s Biltong
Our name wasn’t pulled out of thin air! Let us explain!
We dry and cure our meat the traditional manner (cold air) and not with heat and electricity like it is done by our competitors. Hence YESTERDAYS BILTONG as was in the old times have been successfully operating in this fashion for the past 16 years.
Production and factory
Our factory is part of our main shop outlet situated at Tiffanys Mall Ballito, allowing for close supervision to ensure the highest possible cleanliness, care and hygiene standards are adhered to while only using grass-fed free-range beef cuts to produce our exclusive products.
Wholesale
We supply our product to over 30 shops, stores and other outlets such as Food Lovers Market, Pick n Pay, Super Spar, Tops etc. The best is that even though the quality of our product exceeds that of our competitors, our wholesale prices are very, very competitive indeed. In fact, to assist small and medium business enterprises we even go the extra mile in some cases and may negotiate lower prices than the standard advertised wholesale price listing just to give them a push in the positive direction.

HISTORY OF BILTONG
Biltong, a type of dried meat snack, has a history, dating back to ancient Egyptians.
drying. European settlers introduced a refined curing process in the 1800s, resulting in Biltong. Biltong became a popular travel snack due to its durability, health benefits, and protein content. It's now popular worldwide among athletes and snack enthusiasts. And that is what we achieve! AIR or WIND DRIED to produce the finest.
There is a tale going around, wait for this! How the Voortrekkers did it! They placed raw meat under their horse's saddles and the salty sweat of the horse which cured the meat, then they dried it by hanging it in their ox wagon to wind dry. Promise you, we do not use the horse part!
